More about Imperfect City
Aarhus Municipality, in collaboration with several partners, has been awarded DKK 37 million for the ImperfectCity project.
This initiative includes a comprehensive renovation of the Kulturhusbunkeren on Oluf Palmes Allé, focusing on form, function, and sustainability. The renovation will lay the foundation for innovative approaches at the intersection of culture, health, and employment.
The project aims to create jobs and communities for vulnerable youth by leveraging the inclusive environment of the house. Additionally, it will serve as a platform for testing new forms of collaboration with businesses and citizens to address society’s complex challenges.
Activities such as Museum Ovartaci, the social enterprise Skejby Rangers, the youth project SPACE, and the workshop Frirummet will be expanded and developed as part of this initiative.
The funding spans a four-year period, with the project set to commence on March 1, 2024.
